About the Role

Liner is looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Marketing to lead our growth initiatives. This role will focus on driving hypergrowth in the U.S. B2C market, building a marketing infrastructure from the ground up, and ensuring alignment with Liner’s mission. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in scaling a B2C product, particularly in high-growth startup environments. You will work closely with the CEO and Head of U.S. ensuring a collaborative approach to user acquisition and growth while constructively challenging ideas to enhance strategic direction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive growth strategy, focusing on user acquisition and engagement in the U.S. market.
  • Build and manage a marketing team with a focus on hyper-growth, defining clear goals and overseeing multiple verticals such as digital marketing, content, SEO, and brand.
  • Establish a marketing infrastructure, including acquisition channels and marketing tech stack, to scale Liner’s growth effectively.
  • Lead the Distribution Group, mapping out hiring roadmaps and ensuring consistent, cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
  • Collaborate with student ambassador programs and university partnerships to drive community-driven marketing.
  • Align closely with Liner’s CEO, Luke, on market growth strategies, while offering fresh perspectives to challenge and refine the vision.
  • Leverage both English and Korean fluency to manage communication and strategies across Liner’s global presence.
  • Develop and execute campaigns that resonate with the academic community and elevate Liner’s presence in the market.
  • Provide clear reporting on marketing performance, using data to refine strategies and ensure the highest return on investment (ROI).
  • Drive brand consistency, ensuring that Liner’s message and visuals are cohesive across all user touch points.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally with a focus on B2C growth in the U.S. market.
  • Proven track record in scaling digital products and driving hyper-growth, either as a growth marketer, ex-founder, or head of growth.
  • Deep experience in managing or building marketing teams, preferably in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
  • Strong alignment with Liner’s mission and the ability to work collaboratively with the CEO, balancing shared vision with constructive challenges.
  • Fluent in both Korean and English, capable of bridging communication between Liner’s global teams and users.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the U.S. academic market is a plus, with a passion for empowering students and researchers.
  • Located in the U.S. or able to relocate, with a long-term goal of establishing a U.S.-based marketing organization.
  • Experience building and leading marketing infrastructure and teams, with a focus on growth strategy, acquisition channels, and marketing technology.
